You Don't Need That New Synth
Alright, listen up, buddy. I’m here to help you.
I know you’ve got that new synth sitting in your cart right now.
Yes... it’s shiny, and it’s got all these buttons and lights, and it’s whispering sweet nothings in your ear like it’s gonna change your life.
But I need you to focus.
Eyes on me.
You don’t need another synth.
What you need is to finish some damn music.
You think that synth is gonna solve everything, don’t you?
You think it’s gonna fill that void, make you feel like a real producer, make all those unfinished tracks finally make sense.
But let me tell you something. You and I both know that void is bottomless.
It starts with one synth, then it’s another, then it’s a compressor, and before you know it, you’re knee-deep in gear and haven’t finished a track in months.
That new synth isn’t a magic bullet.
It’s just another distraction.
Another excuse.
Take it out of the cart.
Come on, let’s do it together.
Hit that little X. You see it?
Because deep down, you know what you need isn’t more gear.
It’s more grit.
It’s more guts.
It’s actually sitting down and making music with what you’ve already got.
