Favourite way of creating "atmospheres"?

Melodic, textural, or otherwise?

I love recording the sound of rain drops, waves, or wind in the trees (birds can be gorgeous too if I make sure they're singing in tune with the track), shaping it with EQ, and sending it to a delay + reverb channel... and then moving those textures around to create risers and special moments ✨
