Technology: Check the Cable Before You Blame the Device
When something "stops working," start at the connection—not the expensive part.
1. Unplug and firmly reseat the cable at both ends (device and wall/dock/router).
2. Try a known-good cable of the same type before you replace hardware.
3. Test that cable on a second device or port so you know which side failed.
4. Only then move on to drivers, settings, or buying a replacement.
