I’ve been experimenting with how AI tools surface ecommerce brands, because it feels like things are shifting away from pure SEO.
With LLMs, it seems less about traditional crawling and more about queries and intent. Nobody really knows the full picture yet, but I wanted to see what actually happens when shoppers ask real, specific questions related to a specific niche.
I built a small web app to test it: ArchitectAEO.com.Instead of just grading your website, it runs your URL (and your competitors') through actual LLM-style shopper queries and shows who the AI ends up recommending. It’s basically: “If someone asked an AI about products in your niche, does it pull up your site or someone else’s?” It's pretty bare-bones, but there's a “How To Use” link in the top left if it's not clear. Nothing is saved on the server — if you want to keep anything, just screenshot or download it. You can also rerun the tools a handful of times. I put a limit just so my kie.ai account doesn't blow up. If you try it, I’d love any feedback: what works, what sucks, what’s missing, what’s confusing — and honestly, whether this is something you’d ever pay for.
Happy Thanksgiving (and to the non-Americans, happy Thursday. Sorry everything's closed)
