✨ Responding to Reviews on Etsy ✨
If you have an Etsy store and you're receiving reviews—good or bad—make it a weekly habit to respond to them thoughtfully. Carve out just a few minutes each week to engage with your customers in the review section. It shows that you're present, professional, and genuinely care about the customer experience.
🌟 When it’s a positive review: Say thank you! Especially if the buyer posts a photo of their finished product. That’s free social proof—acknowledge it and keep the relationship warm. A simple “Thank you so much! It looks amazing!” can go a long way.
💬 When it’s a negative or neutral review: Don’t take it personally—see it as an opportunity. Respond kindly and ask what you could’ve done differently to earn their full 5 stars. Be empathetic, take accountability if needed, and offer a resolution when appropriate. Shoppers appreciate transparency and professionalism, and sometimes just responding can turn a dissatisfied buyer into a repeat customer.
Remember: Reviews are a public reflection of your customer service, not just your product. Show your audience that you’re a real person behind the shop who listens, learns, and improves. That’s what builds trust—and trust builds sales. 💰
If you are stumped on what to say. Simply ask Chatgpt to write 10-20 short responses to 5-Star Reviews. or if you received a low review. Copy and paste what the customer said and ask Chatgpt to respond to this 2 star. 1 star. 3 star, 4 star, etc review. Then read it over tweek and post as a public response.
