Let’s Talk Licensing: PLR vs. MRR (and What That Means for You)
If you're new to selling digital products, it’s important to understand the difference between Private Label Rights (PLR) and Master Resell Rights (MRR):
  • PLR means you can modify, rebrand, and sell the product however you like.
  • MRR allows you to sell the product as-is and also give your customers the right to resell it too.
The Business-in-a-Box images I offer come with a unique flexibility: they’re a mix of both. You can resell them as-is or modify them. Whether or not you give resale rights to your own customers is 100% up to you.
⚠️ But here’s a word of advice—if you're just starting out, you may want to hold off on giving resale rights to reduce competition, especially on platforms like Etsy. Focus first on using the images to create and sell physical products like t-shirts, mugs, journals, and more.
As your brand grows, you can explore adding PLR or MRR offers into your product mix—but build your foundation first. Stay focused, stay consistent, and protect your creativity while you're building momentum.
