If you're worried Etsy might shut down your shop, it's smart to start preparing now. If you're currently selling on Etsy, consider opening a second or even a third backup shop and begin uploading a few products to each. Etsy is a great marketplace to have in your corner so stay prepared.

From what I’ve observed (and heard from others in the space), Etsy doesn’t seem to shut down all your shops at once like they used to. So if one shop does get closed, you'll still have another to pivot to and keep your income flowing.

Now, come tax season, they might connect the dots but many sellers with backup shops report no issues, even after a primary shop was closed. It's not a guarantee, but it's definitely a proactive move worth considering.
