Hey Baddie 👑
Last night at the Met Gala was a masterclass in visibility. Some people understood the assignment and went all the way there. Some stayed anchored in their identity but stopped just short of expansion. And some… played it painfully safe.
The difference wasn’t style. It was capacity.
Capacity to be seen.Capacity to take up space.Capacity to hold the reaction that comes with doing something bold.
Because following a theme at that level isn’t about clothes. It’s about your willingness to stretch your identity in public. To risk being misunderstood. To let people have an opinion about you before you’ve had time to explain yourself.
And most people don’t struggle with what to wear. They struggle with what it means.
They feel the pull to evolve… and then shrink back into what’s already been approved. Into what feels controlled. Into what guarantees they won’t be talked about too much.
But the women who shift rooms, who get remembered, who create opportunity without chasing it… they go further. Not recklessly. Intentionally.
They understand that identity is not fixed. It’s styled. Refined. Expanded.
So as you get dressed this week, don’t just ask “does this look good?” Ask: does this stretch me?
Because the gap between invisible and unforgettable is rarely talent. It’s how much of yourself you’re willing to let the world see.
