Citations.io launched today. It is a new platform that tracks how ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude mention, rank, recommend, and cite brands when people ask questions. It was built by Josh Tulip, who spent about 15 years in technical SEO and search intelligence.
The platform answers three questions for any brand. Are you being cited. Who is being cited instead of you. What to fix this month. Each month it delivers an Implementation Pack with the specific pages to write, mentions to earn, and prompts to retest.

Search did not disappear. It moved inside AI.
When someone asks an AI assistant for the best travel advisor for a honeymoon or the best AI coach for a small business, the assistant returns a short list of names. If your name is not on that list, you never see the customer you lost. Traditional SEO tools measure blue links on a results page. They do not measure what happens inside the answer.
This new field is called GEO, which stands for Generative Engine Optimization. It is the practice of getting your brand cited inside AI generated answers. A business can rank well on Google and still be invisible to every AI assistant.
What you can do this week⁉️⁉️
Ask ChatGPT and Perplexity the exact questions your customers ask, like who is the best travel advisor for group cruises. See who gets named. If it is not you, that is your visibility gap.
Then check which sources the AI cites in its answers. Those sources are the pages you need to be on. Reviews, directories, press mentions, and your own content all feed what the AI says about you.
Keep your business details consistent everywhere online. AI engines pull from the same public web your customers see, so outdated or thin profiles make you easy to skip.
