Good evening,
The New Moon is fast approaching. The next one is on 11/20. I typed into Gemini an easy New Moon ritual and got the following so I thought I would share with the "class" 😁
Step 1: Create a Sacred Space
- Find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed.
- Set the mood: Dim the lights, light a candle (or two), burn some incense (like sage or palo santo to clear the energy), or play calm, soothing music.
- Gather your tools: All you truly need is a pen and paper (a dedicated journal is great). You can also include crystals, essential oils, or anything else that makes the space feel special to you.
Step 2: Center and Clear Your Energy
- Meditate/Ground: Close your eyes and take a few slow, deep breaths. Inhale peace and possibility; exhale any stress or tension from your day. This helps you become present and receptive.
- Optional Clearing: If you have sage or incense, gently use the smoke to waft over your body and around the corners of your space to clear out old, stagnant energy, symbolizing a clean slate.
Step 3: Set Your Intentions (The Heart of the Ritual)
This is the time to clarify your goals and desires for the coming cycle.
- Reflect: Ask yourself: What do I want to create, attract, or move toward in my life right now?
- Write Your Intentions: On your paper, write down what you want to manifest.
Step 4: Visualize and Release
- Visualize: Close your eyes again. Read each intention and then visualize it coming true. Feel the emotion of success, joy, peace, or abundance. See yourself living your ideal reality.
- Affirmation: Say your intentions aloud or silently to seal the energy. You can say a simple closing phrase like: "I plant these seeds now, trusting the Universe to help them grow for my highest good."
- Place your intentions: You can fold the paper and place it somewhere sacred, like on an altar, in a special box, or under a crystal. You will revisit this list on the next Full Moon (for releasing) and/or New Moon (for review).
Step 5: Close the Ritual
- Take a final deep breath and express gratitude for the potential of new beginnings.
- Gently blow out your candles.
✨ Other Popular New Moon Activities
- Journaling Prompts: Use questions to dig deeper, such as:
- Creating a Vision Board: Visually represent your intentions using images and words cut from magazines or printed from the internet.
- Starting a New Habit: Commit to beginning a new positive habit (like a morning walk, meditation, or learning a new skill) as a tangible action to support your intentions.
