Today marks the ancient Celtic festival of Beltane, the "bright fire" that signals the official beginning of summer. As the wheel of the year turns, we move away from the internal work of spring and step into a season of peak vitality, passion, and blooming abundance.

• Nature’s Adornment: Homes are decked in fresh greenery and Hawthorn blossoms to welcome the renewal of the wild.

• Handfasting: With love and passion in the air, this is the traditional season for "tying the knot" and committing to new partnerships.
