Bored dogs
I’m partially retired and work alternate weeks. On my working weeks, other than a quick half hour at lunchtime, the dogs don’t get out and about during the day.
Which they’re fine with. Unless I don’t get time to take them out after work. Then they’re still fine.
Right up to the point I want to sit with my feet up and watch TV.
Then they’re tag team.
Troy will come over and drop a series of toys in my lap and look at me expectantly.
If I don’t respond within a few seconds I will get “the paw”. The paw is quite heavy, and the claws are sharp.
Tia will wait until we’re looking the other way when she’ll jump up at Troy.
I then have milliseconds to start playing with Troy before some sort of carnage starts taking place in the front room.
I know the dogs won’t let me get away with a peaceful evening, so why do I even try? Every time this happens I remember the last time and promise myself that even if it’s only a very quick one, I must get out with the dogs after work.
Dogs are good executors of karma.
