Stop Trying to Impress Other Producers
Here’s a question…
Who are you actually making music for?
Other producers?
Or listeners?
It’s easy to get caught chasing complexity.
More layers.
More plug-ins.
More automation.
More sound design.
There’s nothing wrong with pushing your skills.
But the average listener isn’t thinking about your signal chain or how many hours you spent designing a synth.
They’re asking one question:
“How does this song make me feel?”
The tracks that stay with us aren’t always the most technical.
They’re the ones that create emotion.
Movement.
Connection.
So the next time you’re producing, ask yourself:
Am I adding this because the song needs it…
Or because I want another producer to notice it?
There’s a huge difference.
Create music people remember.
Not music that simply proves how much you know.
🎧 Feel it.
🎹 Create it.
🚀 Live it.
