The Art of Awakening Oneself

▶️Finding one's self amidst drunkenness-

Unable to find yourself in the middle of drunkenness is dangerous.

A mastery of "self-awakening art" in all circumstances, that God wants to see in us.

Have you ever met people who could still find its way home after taking so much alcohol on a nightlong drinking session?

People who are still able to drive their vehicle home. People with sleeping body but with awake mind consciousness.

This is a skill mastered by some of those who love to please one's self.

Yet understands the limits.

In life,

the satisfaction of man has evolved deeper and deeper digging its way down to, in most times, it's death.

Our satisfaction becomes an unending greed that leads to the death of ourselves in pursuit of what our greed tells us to do.

And it all happens when we all get drunk to our state of greediness.

When does a man become drunk in his state of greediness?

Is greed limited to wanting something you like? something you desire? something that offers you happiness?

No,

we humans are privileged to feel anything and everything just like any other humans do.

We feel desire, we feel anger, we feel kindness, we feel weakness, we feel admiration, we feel envy, we feel love, we feel trust, we feel dismayed, we feel competitiveness and everything. We are capable of feeling everything.

However,

as the elders say, "what is too much is not good".

And that seems to resonate to what is happening to us everytime any of these feelings contain us instead of us containing these feelings.

Every time any of these feelings develop into a state of "too much" leads us to drunkenness.

See, when we are in the state of drunkenness,

we just do whatever our state of being tells us what to do.

When you are drunk of desiring something, your body seems to long for that something no matter what it takes.

You are willing to do what it takes to get it no matter what. Disregarding others, disregarding morals, disregarding whoever and whatever that stands on the way to your desire, even yourself, the ultimate price, disregarding yourself.

▶️When you are angry, you do what your anger tells you to. When you are happy, you do what your happiness tells you to.

▶️When you admire, you do what your admiration tells you to.

▶️When you despair, you do what your desperation tells you to.

And look,

without the mastery of "awakening amidst the drunkenness" of these, even the good feelings can turn into evil.

▶️When you are drunk in kindness, evil takes advantage of you. To steal you of something, to harm you, or worse to use you to do those things to others unknowingly.

▶️When you are drunk of admiring someone, you can turn a blind eye to the bad sides of what you admire and just follow its footsteps wherever it leads you.

▶️When you are drunk on love, you tend to be willing to consume whatever you have for that love, even consuming yourself.

▶️And what if you are drunk with anger? What if you are drunk with envy? What if you are dunk of jealousy? I am scared to spell out what could possibly happen. Anything.

So what I am telling you is that, drunkenness is a state that the devil is waiting for us to develop. Drunkenness is what the devil worked so hard to put us in so that we lose ourselves and he can come in and tell us just whatever he wants us to do. So that we can be his puppet.

There are men who are good fathers but are evil husbands. Men who are good fathers but are evil public servants.

Men who are loyal friends but are evil citizens.

Men that are admired servants but are evil fathers. And vice versa and so.

And why does it happen⁉️

Because man is so prone to the state of drunkenness without the skill of self-conscious awakening whenever it is needed.

That is why there are so many divisions.

Very common in politics, politics in the government, politics in organizations, politics in the church, politics in the company.

Because we fail to awaken ourselves when our state requires it.

You know, I have been following politics in the country. And when I was younger, I tended to follow some people who seemed to have my ideals.

And during those times, I would argue with people who see their flaws and I seemed to turn a blind eye to the merits other people lay on the table against them. After years, my insights changed, I started to see everything and I started to scale on the merits of those people against them and started to see black and white. See, the process of getting out of drunkenness.

But does it take that long to come to your senses? If that is the case, the devil is loving it.

These days, some people are tagged "balimbing" because they seem to be on one side, then to the other side the second day.

They may even be tagged as traitors.

And I am even guilty of it years ago or probably even now sometimes for being one of them who reacts drastically.

But I started to realize that if we only listen to these people, if we listen to the merits, if we can only get out of our state of drunkenness, and when we can lay nothing to challenge their merits, regardless of the side they are in, we are in no right whatsoever to tag them of anything we want.

We are actually the drunk ones.

✨️It is like, I love my father, then my father has an enemy. And since I am drunk loving my father, you as his enemy is my enemy as well. Regardless if my father is wrong.

✨️It is like, I admire my idol. And don't you dare say something bad about my idol whether it is true or false. Because I am gonna make you pay.

✨️It is like, I love my children. And you as their mother should never make mistake of scolding them or hitting them or else.

✨️The ability to stay in balance and in control in driving even after taking so much alcohol is a mastery of self-awakening art.

The same in life.

You must have this mastery to stay on track even when engaged with the alcohol of life.

⚠️

Failing to call on your self-awakening successfully when needed, makes you a robot full of buttons. If the controller wants you to be happy, you will be happy. If the controller wants you to cry, you cry. If the controller wants you to be miserable, you will be miserable. Don't let that happen.

In a drinking session, you have to be aware of the glass of wine circling around and the state of your body to stay in consciousness.

In life, you have to be careful of the tongues whispering on your ears, be aware even at the whisper of your very own self, and always check your capability to determine what is right and wrong. Otherwise, you easily get drunk, effortlessly becoming the puppet even by the smallest bug who can whisper at you.

And always remember this, God gives us the freedom to decide.

He never controlled anyone of us.

He guides and provides.

But He never controls.

Therefore, we hold the ultimate power to decide.

A decision that can either better or harm us.
