YouTube - Ask for comments
Comments help your channel grow. When people write under your video, it tells YouTube that viewers are interested. That makes YouTube more likely to share your video with others.
Asking for comments also builds a community. You can talk back to your viewers, thank them, and answer their questions. This makes people feel seen and makes them want to return to your channel.
You do not have to overthink it. Just ask a simple question. Make it easy for people to answer. When they comment, reply to them to keep the talk going.
Checklist for asking comments:
- Ask a clear question in the video
- Keep the question simple and easy to answer
- Ask for comments in the middle or at the end of the video after you have given value
- Reply to comments to show you care
- Use comments to learn what your viewers like or want next
Examples:
- “What was the most helpful part of this video for you?”
- “What kind of video should I make next?”
- “Have you tried this before? Tell me in the comments.”
