💲Claude saved me hours of tax prep

I used cowork to search multiple Gmail accounts and find purchase receipts and emails from 2025.

It went to work and within 10 minutes, I had a spreadsheet that neatly contained expenses for app purchases, multiple courses, ine offs, business expenses, etc.

I then dropped in my bank statements, stripe and PayPal statements and asked it to reconcile my 2025 expenses, net profits in a financial dashboard and spreadsheets.

I then gave I my schedule C tax form to fill out and it did a great job. Of course I only tested this but I filled out the form myself after my reconciliation. Sorry I didn't trust AI calculations.

There were three purchases that it didn't recognize as purchases because I typed two in myself and one email was unclear. I went in and I reconciled everything myself and double checked it and I went with my own numbers not what with AI calculated.

Overall this saved me hours of work trying to find all my receipts and reconcile it back to my own tracking spreadsheet.

Sent it all to my accountant to do my taxes.🏆
