Birthday Breakthrough: From Paycheck to Whitewater

Ten years ago, birthdays meant staying home because we didn't have $600–$700 to spare. Today? I'm taking the day off for my wife's birthday, and we're headed to the U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte for a white water rafting adventure with the kids.

The Whitewater Center has become a treasure for Charlotte and even helps raise the value of the land and homes around it.
