Apple's article "The Illusion of Thinking" and what it can mean.

I have seen in some social network a post about the article The Illusion of Thinking (https://ml-site.cdn-apple.com/papers/the-illusion-of-thinking.pdf) made by Apple interns after testing a selection of AI models on reasoning problems and had me thinking.

What do you think about the article? Does it point out good points? Are we further or closer than we think to AGI and other AI goals? What can that mean in terms of evolution in the AI sector? Did you know about the LRMs?
