What does Wisteria have in common with caregivers?
Wisteria is known for being a hardy, long living, beautiful vine. It has many symbolic meanings in different cultures, one of them being endurance. As caregivers we are faced with "enduring" a lot! Caring for an aging adult is a challenge! Try and associating the beauty in a flower like Wisteria, with the long, courageous and enduring job of caring for our loved ones. The more we see our care as beautiful, the better we see ourselves.
