Introduce yourself
I'll go first.
Doug. 39. Cardiff. Been in powerlifting for 10 years and currently competing in the WRPF 90kg class in a couple of weeks.
A few years ago I was sitting at 107kg. Strong, but not competitive where it counted. My Dots told the truth even when I didn't want to hear it.
I dropped to sub 100kg and hit an 800kg total. Got blood panel data to prove the health markers moved in the right direction too. That process became the reason I started coaching.
Outside the gym I'm usually on a mountain somewhere or planning to be. I work a full time sales job and coach on the side. Two cats. One long suffering partner. No alcohol for six months and I don't miss it.
I built this community because I kept meeting lifters in the same position I was in. Strong. Carrying more body fat than they needed. Convinced they had to choose between their total and their physique.
You don't.
That's what this place is about.
Now your turn. Tell us:
  • Who you are and where you're based
  • How long you've been competing
  • What weight class you're in and whether you think it's the right one
  • What you're actually trying to fix right now
