💻 Platform Spotlight: Upwork 👀
If you’ve been looking into freelancing, you’ve probably heard the name Upwork before—but what exactly is it?
Upwork is an online freelance marketplace where businesses and individuals can hire independent freelancers for different types of projects.
And the opportunities go WAY beyond just virtual assistant or graphic design work. 👀
You may find jobs involving:
✍🏽 Writing & editing
🎨 Graphic design
📱 Social media
💻 Virtual assistance
📊 Data entry & research
📸 Photography
🎥 Video & content creation
🌎 Local/on-site assignments
…and plenty more!
🔎 How does it work?
Clients post jobs → freelancers search for opportunities that match their skills → submit proposals → and, if selected, complete the work through Upwork.
Some jobs are fixed-price, while others pay hourly.
💡 Something worth knowing: You don’t necessarily have to be an expert with years of experience to start looking. Think about skills you already have and search Upwork to see whether people are actually hiring for them.
And sometimes the opportunities are NOT what you’d expect. 😂
I recently completed an Upwork project that had me photographing a commercial property, which I’ll share a little more about later this week. 📸👀
Have you ever used Upwork before?
A) Yes, I’ve completed jobs
B) I have an account but haven’t gotten a job yet
C) I’ve heard of it but never tried it
D) Never heard of it until now
