Keywords to Discover Your Community
Barry McDaid had posted this on Skoolroos - https://www.skool.com/skoolaroos so I had to add it here to get it out to the community...
With the changes coming in discovery in the next few weeks, we'll be asked to input keywords (up to 11) to help people discover our communities on Skool..
To get us thinking about this now and prepared for the changes - drop your top keywords below that will make it easy to find in Skool discovery.
🙌 Here are my top 11 keywords I'd suggest for a cybersecurity community on Skool:
  1. Cybersecurity
  2. Ethical Hacking
  3. Penetration Testing
  4. Cyber Awareness
  5. Network Security
  6. Cyber Training
  7. InfoSec
  8. Bug Bounty
  9. CTF (Capture The Flag)
  10. Security Certification
  11. Beginner Cybersecurity
A few tips to go along with your keywords:
  • Think like a searcher — use terms people actually type, not just industry jargon
  • Mix broad and specific — broad terms like "cybersecurity" cast a wide net, while niche terms like "bug bounty" attract highly targeted members
  • Use long-tail keywords where possible — phrases like "beginner cybersecurity training" pull in people who are ready to join and learn
  • Sprinkle keywords naturally into your About page description too — Skool's algorithm picks these up when ranking your community in Discovery
Drop yours below — would love to see what keywords others are using! 👇
