Nurse Pivoting Into Cybersecurity
Hello Cyber Fam! I am Alethia, a military veteran and nurse making a pivot into the tech arena. I live in Newport NC. I started my journey in August with the Npower workforce training program. I earned the CompTIA Tech+ and Google IT Support certifications. I'm excited about everything AI, but I have my sights set on GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance). I'm learning Linux and Python right now.
My 90-day goal is to retake the A+ certification exam and complete the last 3 courses of the Google Cybersecurity Professional certificate. There's nothing holding me back, I have time, but not enough hands-on experience, which I hope to gain in the next 90 days. I use TryhackMe for practice.
They say you should not try to learn cybersecurity by yourself, that you need a community for support, and I agree, so here I am. Thanks for the invite!
