Patriotism Requires Privacy
KYC is a honeypot dressed up as compliance.
The Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and KYC laws created massive data honeypots full of permanent information on ordinary Americans. If America enters a war with an enemy superpower, that data becomes a weapon pointed at the public.
Privacy and patriotism are not opposites. A country that will not protect its citizens’ private lives cannot protect itself.
