When everything feels urgent!
When a loved one is missing, especially in the early hours or days, everything can feel urgent. Your mind races, your body goes into survival mode, and every second feels like it matters.
If that’s where you are right now, I want you to hear this clearly:
You’re not expected to hold the entire situation at once. You only need to take the next step that’s in front of you.
Not because the situation isn’t urgent ~ it is. Not because you should be calm ~ no one expects that. But because your brain and body can only move one action at a time, even in crisis.
If today feels like too much, choose one thing:
  • Make one call
  • Write down one detail you don’t want to forget
  • Reach out to one supportive person
  • Take one breath before the next decision
You’re not failing. You’re not too slow. You’re not doing it wrong. You’re responding to something no one is ever prepared for.
One step at a time is not weakness ~ it’s how humans move through crisis without collapsing.
You’re doing the best you can in an impossible moment.
