The gatsby shot!
An easy shot that always looks great is having your subject hold out a cocktail in front and capturing it at a nice 2.8 to 3.5 aperture. Single light set up with a soft box angle down on a 45° angle. Always remember to tell them to slightly tip the cocktail forward so that you can see the whole rim and garnish on top. I call this the “Gatsby shot.”
