This morning at work was a lot.
Last day of the quarter at school.
Lots of student behaviors.
A fire drill… in cold windy weather.
And trying to get artwork ready for an art show this weekend.
By lunchtime my brain felt like it had been running a marathon.
So I did something simple.
I put on my headphones, opened the Calm app, and turned on a beach wave soundscape.
For 10 minutes I just sat there listening to the waves.
Honestly it felt like a little brain massage 😂
Nothing fancy.
I could feel my body relaxing a bit and my brain stopped running running on overload.
Sometimes calm doesn’t come from a big break or a perfect self-care routine.
Sometimes it’s just giving your brain a different signal for a few minutes.
I’m curious…
What’s something small that helps your brain reset during a stressful day?
