Day 13: Value Sphere
I know this might seem basic or boring, but it’s just one of those things you need to know as an artist and keep in your back pocket!
When we draw a sphere (a shape like a ball), we can make it look 3D using light and shadow! ⚪✨
First, lightly draw your circle. Then imagine a light shining on it 💡. The part closest to the light will be the brightest, so we leave that area light or add a little white for a highlight.
The side farther away from the light will be darker, so we gently shade it with our pencil. ✏️
When we add light, medium, and dark shading, the circle starts to look like a round ball popping off the paper! 🎨
