Hi, I'm Courteney McLean
I'm a parent coach, educator, and relationship and behavior specialist with more than 25 years of experience supporting children, youth, families, and schools.
I hold a Master of Education specializing in Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, and Trauma, and I am passionate about helping families better understand neurodiversity, behavior, emotional regulation, and the education system.
But my work isn't just professional—it's personal.
I've sat through the school meetings, worried about the future, questioned decisions, navigated assessments, and wondered if I was doing enough. I know firsthand how overwhelming, isolating, and exhausting this journey can feel.
That's why I created this community.
This is a space where parents can access free resources, practical strategies, and support from someone who understands both the educational system and the lived experience of parenting a child who learns, thinks, or experiences the world differently.
Here you'll find resources on:
- Neurodiversity
- ADHD and Autism
- School advocacy
- Behavior and emotional regulation
- Executive functioning
- Parenting strategies
- Mental health and well-being
- Supporting yourself while supporting your child
My philosophy is simple:
Behavior is communication. Parents deserve support too. You don't have to do this alone.
Whether you're just beginning to ask questions, navigating a diagnosis, advocating at school, or supporting a teenager through the transition to adulthood, I'm glad you're here.
Welcome to the community.
