1️⃣ Open your Word document
Just open the file you want Copilot to improve — long report, messy email, anything.
2️⃣ Click the Copilot icon in the ribbon
You'll see it at the top inside Microsoft Word (Home tab or the Copilot tab depending on version).
3️⃣ Type your instruction in natural language
Example:
“Tighten the writing in this document. Make it sharper and more concise.”
Word’s Copilot now applies edits directly into the doc as the default behaviour.
