What platform to choose for a community?
I’ve had a couple of people asking about what platform to choose for their community and services so I thought I do a breakdown of the ones I’ve tried and used.
Circle: A community-first platform: built primarily to host, manage, and grow online communities (with spaces for chats, events, content, courses, etc.).
Price: starting at $89/m
Kajabi: An all-in-one “knowledge business” platform: built for creating, marketing and selling courses, memberships, digital products — with community features as a secondary aspect.
Price: starting at $149/month
Skool: A simpler community + course bundle: more lightweight than Kajabi or Circle, merging a community-style social feed with basic course hosting, often appealing to creators/coaches who want something easy and affordable.
Price: starting at $9/month
