AI impact in Construction
Anthropic (the company behind ChatGPT’s biggest rival) just said AI won’t change construction much.
I think they’re wrong.
Here’s what I think they missed — and why I’m betting my career on it:
1. Permits & code research
Contractors waste hours digging through building codes and permit requirements. AI can do that research in minutes. That’s a massive edge if you’re the guy who knows how to use it.
2. Scheduling & project planning
Delays kill construction profits. AI can help map out project timelines, flag conflicts, and plan around variables that humans miss at 6am before a job site opens.
3. Finding clients
Most contractors are terrible at marketing. AI can write proposals, run ads, and generate leads while they’re on the job site. The contractor who figures this out will eat everyone else’s lunch.
I’m 20, studying the construction industry, and building a free community around this idea — that the next generation of construction pros who learn AI early are going to have an insane advantage.
