When Sam Ovens invited me to test Skool back in 2022, I was amazed by the platform.
I joined as a beta tester and began exploring Skool immediately. However, I couldn't really see the potential due to my own limitations. I thought it was just a replacement for Facebook groups and a random experiment that might not go anywhere.
Six months before I discovered Sam, I had already been talking about Community Funnel on my YouTube channel. I saw Skool as the perfect opportunity to jump in.
Almost a year later, Skool launched an affiliate program that gave me a good reason to start talking about Skool publicly on my YouTube channel.
I was analysing community builders and sharing my perspective on the subject. All while doing two other things in parallel: growing my other AI business, where I am a partner, and also going through my spiritual journey, which was taking immense emotional and mental energy.
However, since I run a community on Skool, it was easy for me to share my genuine experience with the platform. It is different from randomly promoting a product without ever using it. People appreciate authenticity, and Google likes original ideas over AI-written content.
I have broken down my process into five essential steps to make money with Skool as a creator and affiliate:
Step #01: Start Your Own Community:
Step #02:
If you have a website, start publishing your honest, original opinions on your blog. Here is my review of Skool after using it for years: brutally honest Skool review. Alternatively, you can also publish your thoughts on YouTube like I did in THIS VIDEO. Step #03:
If you don't have a website, you don't need one. Here's something better: Change your Skool group visibility to Public and make it something related to business. Now, your posts will directly reach Google and ChatGPT searches within one to two weeks.
Every post is like a blog post working for you. And because skool.com is a high authority domain, your posts will start performing better than average blog posts. The only thing you need to ensure is that your Skool focuses on business or money topics, as this is your target audience for this goal. Step #04:
Do not stop at posting Skool review. In my YouTube videos and blog posts, I have thoroughly compared Skool with other platforms such as Circle. I have reviewed other community platforms like Whop and Nas .io. While you do not need to use all the platforms, you will still need to put real effort into researching everything you share.
Step #05: Focus on multiple sources of income
Do not rely on Skool alone. In business, it is never a good idea to keep all your eggs in the same basket. Diversify your sources. Instead of only focusing on the Skool affiliate program, start a community around your passion and earn from it. Turn it into a paid community or offer one-time online courses inside the community.
This way, you will have more sources of income and peace of mind.
This is all you need to begin making money with Skool. It can be $500/mo, or it can also be $50,000/mo. Do not bother much about it.
The most crucial part is that you are earning money while doing something fun... and this is a recurring source of income. Enjoy the game!
