The Small Book of Carrying
Companion Text v0.3
On Carrying
You are allowed to carry only what fits your hands.
If you try to carry too much, you will drop what matters.
If you refuse to carry anything, others will have to carry you.
On Making Messes
Everyone makes messes.
Milk spills.Things break.
What matters is what you do next.
Clean what you can. Fix what you broke. Say sorry without excuses.
That is how trust grows back.
On Speaking
Words can help.Words can hurt.
Speak when your words make things clearer. Be quiet when they do not.
Being quiet is not losing. It is choosing.
On Fairness
Fair does not always mean the same.
Fair means everyone lifts a bit.
If one person lifts everything, the whole thing tips over.
On Belonging
When you go somewhere new, watch first.
Learn how things workbefore changing them.
Belonging starts with listening.
On Friends
Good friends help you carry your load.Bad friends give you theirs.
Choose carefully.
On Rest
Rest is not being lazy.
Rest helps you grow strong again.
Even machines need to pause,or they break.
You are more than a machine.
On Trying Again
Everyone trips.
Tripping is not the end. Giving up on fixing things is.
Stand up. Step smarter.
On Growing Up
Growing up does not mean being perfect.
It means fixing thingsinstead of blaming others.
On Leaving Things Better
Before you leave a place, ask:
Is this better because I was here?
Small fixes add up.
A hand. A smile.A repair.
That is your mark.
On Looking Ahead
See today,but think tomorrow.
What you plant nowgrows for others.
Choose seeds that last.
The Quiet Rule
Carry what you can. Do not give your mess to others. Help when you are able.
That is enough.
