🎭 MINI LESSON 9 — FOR ACTORS
The 60-Second English Clarity Warm-Up You Can Do Anywhere
Including a corridor. Or a lift. Or a waiting room before you go in.
Most vocal warm-ups are built for the stage. This one is built for English clarity specifically.
Step 1 — Lip trills (10 seconds)
Blow air through loose lips. Gets the articulators moving without tension.
Step 2 — TH placement (15 seconds)
Tongue lightly between your front teeth.
Say slowly: "this thing, that thing, the other thing."
Step 3 — Vowel pairs (15 seconds)
Ship — sheep.
Live — leave.
Full — fool.
Exaggerate the difference between each pair.
Step 4 — One line from your current script (20 seconds)
Say it slowly. Then at natural speed.
That is it. Under 60 seconds.
✅ Try it right now — then say one line from whatever you are working on.
💬 Does your articulation feel cleaner after? Drop your reaction below.
