Ideas first. Technique second.
Years ago, while working on my MFA in photography, my professor would say this repeatedly. Start with meaningful ideas, and let your technical decisions follow.
The Conceptual Photography Lab is built around that philosophy.
You already know how to shoot. But if your work feels empty or directionless, or you've been feeling alone in developing your creative voice, this is the community for you.
Here's how it works:
šŸ“· I'll share a new creative prompt every two weeks
šŸ“· You'll shoot and share your work in the community
šŸ“· We'll all respond to each other's work in a supportive environment
šŸ“· Selected images will be shared on social media
Note: Familiarity with camera principles is required. This is not a beginner photography course.
Led by Rani Robison — artist, photographer, and educator — and former instructor at the New England School of Photography, university art lecturer, and portfolio reviewer at LensCulture magazine.
