I know there are some communities where it makes sense to have lower ticket prices but this is exactly how I’ve set up my community front the start.
Instead of starting low and slowly increasing, I start with an “anchor” price that I’m comfortable with and then wait for people to see the value in it. I have a mid ($$$) ticket monthly premium and a high ticket ($$$$) offer.
Time-wise it takes about the same as starting low and increase price but it’s the positioning that is what really matters. And the fact that you get paid more for fewer people to start means those first paid members get a more personalized product and it’s a more sustainable start for you - financially and time investment.
If you we have a skill or expertise worth paying for, position yourself accordingly.
It has worked for me!
