Day 1
Hi, my name is Matt, and what draws me to the ancient world is a fascination with the stories being told, and how in many ways we aren't all that different from those who were alive then. People complained about politicians, men tried to out-do each other with "manly things", and it's a lot of fun finding out how different cultures expressed the same feelings as us, but in what seem to us really odd ways. My background is mostly in Old Norse, I'm working on Attic Greek and Latin very slowly, and am desperate to improve.
