Citronella Has Taken Root!
I checked my citronella cuttings again today and at least 6 have roots coming out the bottom of the packs. I consider this a huge win especially since I didn't use rooting powder for them. Now that I know it can be done I'll be trimming the mother plants even more.
It took about 3 weeks to see any sign of roots but I figured they were getting there since they hadn't died yet. I checked them a few days ago and new growth appeared to be forming on the topside, but now that I see roots I know it has been a success. I'll be transplanting the ones that have taken root into little growing bags and moving them to the window in my office. It's going to smell amazing in there!
Have you tried to root citronella before? If so, what were your results?
