🚛 DOT Compliance Reminder – Follow-Up Testing
For all DOT-regulated employers, drivers, and consortium members:
📌 Any FOLLOW-UP drug or alcohol test is ALWAYS an OBSERVED COLLECTION. This is not optional and not based on company preference—it is a DOT requirement.
✔️ Follow-up testing is part of the Return-to-Duty process
✔️ Observed collections are required to protect the integrity of the test
✔️ Failure to follow this rule can result in serious DOT violations
⚠️ Employers and drivers must understand that follow-up tests are scheduled and monitored per the SAP plan and must be conducted exactly as required by FMCSA regulations.
