Choosing Gentle Growth, Even on Hard Days
Living with a chronic illness while working a full-time job isn’t something many people talk openly about.
But it’s my everyday reality.
Most mornings I log on at 8.30am, show up as a Customer Service Lead, support my team, solve problems, and give my best, even when my body doesn’t always cooperate.
Behind the scenes, I’m managing Crohn’s, fatigue, flare-ups, hospital appointments, and unpredictable energy levels, while also choosing not to give up on the dreams that live in my heart.
In the evenings, I’m building a business that lights me up.
Not because I’m trying to hustle myself into burnout, but because I believe we can create a life that feels meaningful, flexible, and aligned with who we are, even with chronic illness.
Some days look productive, some days look slow, and both are valid.
I’m learning that I don’t have to have everything figured out. I don’t have to be “on” all the time. I don’t have to choose between stability and dreams.
I’m allowed to want more, gently.
If you’re quietly juggling work, health, and a dream on the side, I see you.
You’re doing better than you think 🤍
