Ships and Water
I heard yesterday a saying, which I would love to share with you:
"A ship floats in the water around it,
it sinks with the water coming in ."
So the water per se is not the "enemy" of floating (= safety, well-being, happiness etc.)
It is the way if, when and how and of course to what amount, it enters the vessel.
Looking at this from the point of ourselves being such a vessel and the water being all what comes to us, invited or not: events, information, news, chit chat, people etc., it shows how much we have to care for our well-being, by not shutting the world out, but being wise in what we allow to be part of our life.
With the flood (!) of well or not so well researched information in some social media channels, we are put so easily into re-action mode. Flight-Flight-Freeze-Fawn. Instead of being asked by them, to ponder and make up our own mind (!)!
I would be so curious, what you think about this. Thank you!!!
