Your retirement number.
EXAMPLE:
Let's say you SPEND $7K/mo.
$7K * 12mo = $84,000/yr in expenses.
$84K X 25 = $2,100,000 is what you need to "retire" (aka not HAVE to work, bc your investments can cover your living expenses).
*This is a simplified version of how you can figure out your retirement number in less than 2 minutes. Clearly you need to remember to include taxes, social security, inflation, etc. But this gives you a ballpark number. 😉
