I created CESP | Estate Signing Professionals, formerly the Apex Mentorship Program, because notaries interested in trust and estate work need more than the basics. Estate signings can involve unfamiliar documents, multiple signers, family members, attorneys, care facilities, and situations that require us to understand our role and where that role ends.
CESP gives commissioned notaries a place to explore this specialty, strengthen their knowledge and confidence, and decide how far they want to take it. Some may simply want to learn more. Others may want to make estate signings a larger part of their business. And some will pursue the Certified Estate Signing Professional credential.
CESP is about developing notaries who are competent, qualified, and prepared for this work.
