While tidying up my boudoir yesterday, pushing summer clothes to the back and pulling winter pieces out of the mothballs 😆
I decided to go through my jewelry and trinkets as well.
That’s when I found this family heirloom.
A medallion from September 6, 1898, the day Queen Wilhelmina was inaugurated in Amsterdam.
To a coincollector, it might be worth only a few coins.
But to me… it’s priceless.
Because when I hold it, I feel the thread of generations.
The time that has slipped away.
The dreams that were once lived.
The stories quietly carried forward.
It’s not about silver or market value.
It’s about connection.
To those who came before — and those still to come.
