Cheerleaders
We’ve all heard the saying:
“Never take advice from someone who doesn’t have what you want.”
Yet we do it all the time.
Especially women.
We dream, we set goals, and when we want to share them… we often listen to parents, friends, or partners who want to protect us.
But protection often equals limitation.
Especially when your parents grew up with safety over growth.
Recently, I had an intake call with an ambitious woman.
Two jobs. Financially secure. Plenty of savings.
But she couldn’t take the leap. Couldn’t rise above herself.
Why? Her parents told her: “Too risky.”
And so dreams stay locked away.
Here’s the truth:
Your value = your self-worth.
Choose to surround yourself with people who already have what you want. Seek cheerleaders, not protectors.

From whom are you still (unconsciously) taking advice that keeps you small?
