CRV Help
Hey, so this CRV I ended up purchasing a couple days ago, is having an issue. In third gear in very low RPMs, there is a slight shutter in the transmission. I’ve looked it up, it’s extremely common and a lot of people have issues with it, it looks like the culprit is the torque converter. It’s very hard to notice, I didn’t notice when I bought it, but on my way home, I noticed it, most people would have no idea.
With the CRV being high miles, I’m not 100% sure if I feel comfortable selling it to a customer saying that everything is good to go, and at the same time if I tell them, there’s a shutter in the transmission it might be very hard to sell.
I thought about sending it to the auction, but I would definitely lose money, I’ve already contacted the seller just to see if he will return it, he can’t.
What did you think? Should I try and sell it as is with problem in the ad or just tell the customer about it when they look at it? Should I try a transmission fluid swap and reprogram? This is one of those buys where I don’t have a ton of margin, but some, definitely learned my lesson.
