Since the 50's cannabis was outlawed with the war on drugs. In 2014 the compassionate care act was passed specifically in ny state and in 2018 the hemp bill was introduced. In 2021 ny passed MRTA which made it recreationally legal. Here we are in 2026 and depending on the state it is recreationally or medically legal. But its important to understand that right now its still federally illegal. Let me be clear when I say hundreds of thousands if not millions were affected by the classification of cannabis.
While each state is different its important to keep this fight going! Everyone should know about the medical benefits. It's also important to understand the struggle, people lost their whole lives over a plant! Stick with me to learn more!!
I have previously decades ago gotten cannabis charges, I'm not ashamed because I want to be apart of breaking the stigma. What's your experience with cannabis and the legal system if any??
