La prononciation des LL
Salut! Today you're learning that ILL usually sounds like like "iye", but there's a small group of important exceptions where it stays a plain L sound.

ILL = "iye" sound
paille, veille, feuille, bouillir, cueillir, cuillère, vieillir, cédille, famille, fille, vanille
ALL, ELL, OLL, ULL, YLL = normal L sound
salle, belle, folle, pull, syllabe
Exceptions — ILL stays a plain L sound
ville, mille, million, milliard, millionnaire, tranquille, Achille, capillaire, pupille, distiller, osciller
A note on the last three: many Québécois speakers do pronounce pupille, distiller, and osciller with the "iye" sound in casual speech
