The Camo Grind Just Got A LOT Harder (Season 2 Drops Tomorrow)!

With season 2 dropping right around the corner there are some VERY important things that apply to this year's camo grind... We'll be going over all of them in today's post!

Call Of Duty announced that season 2 will be dropping on January 28th, 2025 (9AM PST or 12AM EST).

With the announcement comes many amazing new additions to the game and quality of life changes! I'll be adding in descriptive pictures for everything we talk about below (In The Order We Talk About Them) ⬇️

MULTIPLAYER

To start off we have multiplayer, and there are many INSANE additions for this fan favorite game mode! All of these additions will be important to hear if you're still going for the Dark Matter Camo.

We all love new weapons being added to the game, and this definitely applies to the camo grind. So, I thought we should start there!

There are 4 brand new weapons being added:

PPSH-41 - This fan favorite sub machine gun will be making a return to the spotlight in season 2! I'm very excited to be getting the camos done for this one.

CHYPHER 091 - This brand-new assault rifle will be featured in the call of duty series for the first time. Just from the look of it, it looks very light weight which should make it one of the best assault rifles in the game.

FENG 82 - The Feng is another brand-new weapon being added in for season 2. We get a new LMG for the first time in Black Ops 6. At first glance it looks like they are trying to make this LMG very light weight and durable as well, adding in different gameplay abilities for the LMG weapon class. There are going to be new modifications that allow you to turn this LMG into a heavy weight build if you so choose!

TR2 - Lastly, we have a brand-new Marksman Rifle which looks A LOT like the infamous FAL from Black Ops 2. Very good nostalgic addition!

ATTACHMENTS: With the new weapons we get some new attachments as well. To start we have a CROSSBOW ATTACHMENT that can be added to the bottom of your gun, kind of like a grenade launcher. I would except some unique challenges for this attachment. They're adding in the FULL AUTO MOD for the AEK which turns it from a burst to a full auto marksman rifle. The BINARY TRIGGER turns the Tanto into a semi-automatic sub machine gun. Also, as I stated before we get a special attachment for the LMG's which is going to be the BELT FED MAGAZINE which will hold a significant amount of ammo. All of these attachments should help tremendously with the camo grind across different game modes.

SOME THINGS TO NOTE: You will need to unlock all of these weapons by leveling up through the battle pass or by playing in game events throughout the season. At the launch of season 2 the PPSH-41, the CHYPHER 091, & the FENG 82 will be available to unlock in the battle pass. The TR2 will come later in the season. I'm also anticipating a few more weapons to be added within events later in the season. A lot like how we had the squid games event or the Christmas event. Keep in you'll be starting with NO CAMOS at all for the 4 new weapons being added, enjoy the grind!

Speaking of events, they've announced two so far! We know that we'll be getting the Terminator event which features Arnold Schwarzenegger and also the Terminator skin. We also get the Shadow Hunt event, and the details for that are under wraps so far.

We get brand new skins and gun blueprints with the battle pass coming. At tier 100 you unlock the Nocturne skin which looks pretty insane (SEE BELOW)!

RANKED PLAY (New Skins)

If you're into ranked play, then you'll be getting a new host of cosmetics and camos as you rank up through the multiple tiers that they have. Some of these camos are insane!

FINAL THOUGHTS FOR MULTIPLAYER: There are way more things that they'll be adding into season 2 like 4 new multiplayer maps. new perks, new scorestreaks, and even new game modes. I wanted to highlight the new additions that impact camo grinders or cosmetic collectors the most. ZOMBIES

If you're still going for the Nebula Mastery camo then things just got a lot more fun!

For this new season we get a BRAND-NEW zombies map which is said to be a lot like the infamous ORIGINS!

The map we're getting is called TOMB

What we know so far is we'll be getting brand new boss zombies, new wonder weapons, new perks, new augments, and gobbles gums!

This map looks insane! Some parts look very large and spread out while other parts look small and crammed. The new Death Perception perk was added to help you see zombies through walls in small, crammed areas while you grind out those headshots!

I'll be looking for the best spot to grind out the Nebula camo on this map, as soon as I find it, I'll be making a post here for you guys.

WARZONE

I'll briefly be covering some things that can help you get the hard-earned Abyss Camo in warzone.

A lot of this update has to do with quality-of-life changes. This includes fixing in game bugs, movement, or cracking down on hackers 😡. This alone SHOULD make the experience better while going for Abyss.

They also added in a few new perks that will be helpful.

REACTIVE ARMOR: Your armor will regenerate up to 50% if you haven’t taken damage in the last 5 seconds.

LOW PROFILE: You are able to move more quickly while crouched and prone. Move slightly faster when downed.

Overall Activision is promising a much better experience within the Battle Royale game mode as they plan to bring back Verdansk in Season 3. They definitely want the game to be running smoothly by then...

We'll have to jump in and see if they're right.

WARZONE RANKED:

Lastly, I do have to mention that warzone is offering new camos and cosmetics if you play they're ranked game mode and yes, they are different rewards then ranked multiplayer! Check them out in the graphic below.
